Leah Johnson, Ph.D., is the founder of Be Equipped, LLC, and a dynamic keynote speaker and subject-matter expert in leadership development, change management, and nonprofit leadership. She is a “Transformation Architect” for people and organizations in transition.
With 25+ years of experience spanning higher education and mission-driven organizations, Leah equips leaders and teams to strengthen culture, lead through complexity, and deliver measurable impact.
A published author and sought-after public speaker, Dr. Johnson combines strategic insight with real-world execution. She founded a nonprofit organization that has served communities since 1998, and she also launched and served as the Founding Executive Director of New Jersey’s first urban squash-based after-school program in Newark—helping expand access, opportunity, and student success through innovative programming and community partnerships.
Dr. Johnson travels worldwide, partnering with companies, colleges and universities, churches, and nonprofits to deliver engaging trainings and transformational keynotes. Her signature topics range from building thriving company culture and leading organizational change to starting and scaling a nonprofit, all delivered with clarity, energy, and practical takeaways audiences can apply immediately.
